Domestication and Implementation of Regional and Continental Agricultural Policies in the East African Community (EAC)

This summary report presents findings from a FANRPAN assessment, conducted with support from AGRA, on the domestication and implementation of regional and continental agricultural policy frameworks across the East African Community. It examines progress to date, institutional and coordination bottlenecks, and financing constraints that shape how regional commitments translate into measurable national outcomes. The report sets out priorities for strengthening evidence-based policymaking, regional policy harmonisation, and youth employment across the region. It forms part of the “Leveraging Knowledge Management to Enhance Policy Harmonisation and Domestication for Agricultural Transformation in East and Southern Africa” project, supported by AGRA.
