Day 2 of the FANRPAN Annual Regional Multi-Stakeholder Policy Dialogue 2025 focused on actionable solutions to transform Africa’s agrifood systems. Discussions centered around three key themes: seed policy reform, nutrition advocacy, and youth engagement.

Plenary sessions called for inclusive seed systems that empower smallholder farmers, showcased how storytelling and creative tools like Theatre for Policy Advocacy can shape nutrition policy, and emphasized the importance of supporting youth through mentorship, innovation platforms, and access to finance.

Parallel sessions highlighted the need to professionalize agrifood science, strengthen rural infrastructure, and promote gender-sensitive and youth-inclusive approaches. A standout moment was the Youth Policy Fellowship’s mentor–mentee matchmaking, connecting young changemakers with experienced leaders.

The day closed with a united call for collaboration, community-led solutions, and sustained investment in people to ensure resilient, just, and future-ready food systems in Africa.
