Overview of the Validation Workshop
On June 13, 2014, the Center of Dialogue for Legal and Institutional Reforms (CERJI) that is the FANRPAN NODE host institution organized a workshop to validate a study conducted in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) on the implementation of the "Climate Smart Agriculture" (CSA). The study was funded by the African Capacity Building Foundation (ACBF).
This study was conducted by the Dean of the Faculty of Agronomy of the University of Lubumbashi in the DRC (Professor Michel NGONGO). It was presented by Professor David BUGEME, Advisor to the Congolese Prime Minister, in the conference room of the Hotel Africana Palace, located in Kinshasa/Lingwala.
The validation of this study was made by more than thirty participants from the private sector, government, media, civil society, farmers, youth and researchers. One participant, Mr Talentus Mthunzi, represented the FANRPAN Regional Secretariat located in Pretoria, South Africa and provided technical and pedagogical support.
