Windhoek - Business women from SADC member states involved in Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) will convene here for the SADC Women in Business Trade Fair and Investment Forum which takes place on the sidelines of the Summit of Heads of State and Government on 9 to 18 August 2010.

According to the latest cabinet release, the trade fair will create a forum for the exchange of ideas, knowledge and experience for business expansion and networking.

The forum is expected to sensitise governments, financial institutions and the private sector to support women in business.

The organisers of the forum also hope to expose business women to new and appropriate businesses technologies. The forum is the brainchild of SADC ministers of gender and women affairs, who gathered in Kinshasa, democratic Republic of Congo in June 2010.

The trade fair and investment forum will run consecutively with the heads of state and government Summit.
