Junxion Communications was appointed on 12 September 2011 to handle various communications activities at the FANRPAN 2011 food security regional policy dialogue in eZulwini, Swaziland from 18 to 23 September 2011.
These included a workshop for journalists from various African countries, the research, writing, translating and issuing of media statements during the conference, providing these statements for uploading onto the FANRPAN website and producing a conference newspaper - 200 copies at the close of the conference and 800 for mailing.
The initial brief was to select journalists from primarily Southern African Development Community countries via a journalism competition who would then attend the workshop in Swaziland. Furthermore, from these journalists a group would be selected to attend the Challenge Program on Water and Food in Tshwane in November and the COP17 conference in November/December. This did not materialise and FRANPAN selected the attending journalists.
