The HaSSP Manager with support from Dr Isiah Mharapara, the coordinator of FANRPAN'snode hosting institution in Zimbabwe, Agricultural Research Council (ARC), convened a HaSSP Steering Committee meeting at the ARC offices in Harare on the 13th of July 2011. The purpose of the meeting was to review progress that has been made in the implementation of the HaSSP project in Zimbabwe and chart the way forward for the period August to December 2011. The meeting was informed that farmers who produced groundnut and sugar bean seed in Zaka were ready to harvest and that seed processing equipment for use by the farmers had been procured. The meeting also discussed the interface between FANRPAN's HaSSP and GRM's Seeds and Markets project (SAMP) to avoid duplication and maximise synergies.
