Having a background in Natural Resources Management and Agriculture, in which she holds an MSc. degree, Farai Gwelo currently serves in the position of Programme Assistant for the Nutrition Sensitive Agriculture portfolio. She currently provides support to the project entitled Agriculture to Nutrition (ATONU): Improving Nutrition Outcomes through Optimized Agricultural Investments. Her work ethic and attitude has proven her to be an energetic and driven individual with passion and steadily gaining experience in development work, research, information management and scientific writing. Since joining the project in 2016, Farai has contributed to a chapter on Achieving Food Security and Nutrition, in the Africa, Agriculture Status Report of 2016. Farai’s current work involves participating in the implementation of ATONU field activities; processing data management and analysis; knowledge management; and drafting and coordinating writing of project documents. She is a registered Candidate Natural Scientist with the South African Council for Natural Scientific Professions (SACNASP).
